Nighmo`s eye
The infrared "eye" is a PIR sensor which is generally used for home alarm system`s motion sensing. This sensor is like a one pixel infrared camera, which is optimized for sensing human sized objects radiating in a special infrared range. This sensor is very sensitive - it is able to accurately detect human motion from up to 20-25 meters distance. Its sensing angle is close to 180 degrees.
Other good feature of PIR is the low energy comsumption. According to its name (passive infrared sensor) it doesn`t make infrared light, only detects given infrared light from the environment so as the infrared radiaton of the human body.
This sensor`s features are suitable for the functionality of nighmo: low energy comsumption and great sensitivity.
Intelligent homes
Our home is really intelligent and cosy if the objects around us can adapt to the requirements of a certain situation.
Nighmos can be placed in the darkest corners of your home, where some light to help your orientation is needed, e.g.: in the bathroom, the bedroom or the corridor between the two.
Natural like a candle or full moon
Nighmo provides only dim shine which is usually enough to move around in a dark flat. It`s light is designed to be natural like the light of a candle or full moon.
Minimal interface
Nighmo needs minimal interaction from the user it will serve you like a humble animal, using as much energy as you need.
That is why there are no control buttons on this product. You don`t have to switch it on and off, it will happen automatically. All care it requires from its owner is that you will have to recharge it from time to time. Recharging happens through a standard USB port.
Human, design and functional values
Although there are a number of night lights available on the market, KIBU`s researchers were not satisfied as these lights did not adapt to people enough or they simply weren`t nice and functional at the same time. The concept of Nighmo was an object, which carries human, design and functional values at the same time.
The researchers have reached Nighmo`s current organic form by carefully studying today`s design culture and the demands of the intelligent homes.

Day or night?
Nighmo can sense if it is day or night, so when it senses it is day it starts to "sleep". It is provided with a simple light sensor built in the side of the Nighmo`s body.

Nighmos can be placed in the darkest corners of the home, where you need light for orientation, for example in the bathroom or in the bedroom or in the kitchen.
How to power it?
All care Nighmo requires from its owner is that you will have to recharge it from time to time. Recharging happens through a standard USB port.
